This beekeeping class is an in-depth discussion on the fundamental practices of beekeeping, the natural behavioral habits of honeybees, and the methods needed from a beekeeper to help the honeybees and the beekeeper become a successful partnership.

- This class includes a guided tour with Kerry Owen of South Carolina’s largest beekeeping agritourism business.
INSTRUCTOR
Kerry Owen is the owner of Bee Well Honey and was named South Carolina farmer of the year 2016. He is the President of the South Carolina State Beekeepers Association and is on Farm Bureau’s Apiculture Committee. Kerry and his family operate a family-owned business known as Bee Well Honey and their honey can be found in over 700 stores in the southeast. Kerry owns South Carolina’s largest bee supply company and offers educational tours and classes for future entrepreneurs. Kerry’s workshops and agritourism have resulted in many success stories that have inspired countless others to become successful with their beekeeping.
