CERTIFIED LEVEL BEEKEEPING CLASS

The SCBA Certified Level Beekeeping Class, a collaboration between the Pickens County Beekeeping Association, the Master Beekeeping Program of the SC State Beekeeping Association, and Bee Well Honey, will be offered beginning October 17, 2019.

You are invited to attend the Pickens Co Monthly Meeting which is held on the second Thursday of each month at Pickens Presbyterian Church, 311 W. Main St, Pickens, SC

Instructors are experienced Journeyman Level members of the Pickens Co Beekeepers Association.

It is open to anyone interested in learning about honey bees as a pollinator or becoming a beekeeper.  Ages 12 – 18 years old are welcome with an accompanying parent or guardian. No extra charge for accompanying.

This course is designed so that you will get the most benefit from the course if you attend all of the sessions.  However, the topics taught each evening are self-contained and a person can miss one class and still benefit from attending the other classes.

Cost for the class includes: First Lessons in Beekeeping textbook, one year membership in the Pickens association, one year membership in the SC Beekeepers association and class notebook.

The class meets each Thursday evening between 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm beginning October 17th and ending on November 14th with a “Test and Pizza Party!”.

Cost is $75 per person or $110 per couple (family members).

Note: if you register as a Couple, you receive one set of course materials.
